Grandparent's go to Bottle of Bubbles
My grandparents built a bar in their house. Swear. They were the coolest people! They told it to you straight, they could call you a sonuvab*tch without offending you. All in all they were soul to the earth people and there were a few things you could count on at their house. They always had homemade cookies in the cookie jar, whiskey, bitters, and sweet Vermouth for a Manhattan, and a cold bottle of Freixenet Cordon Negro Cava in the fridge.
Whether you popped in to share news of a new job, a new relationship, an engagement, or simply came by for an early morning walk in their apple orchard, they’d offer to pop a bottle to celebrate. As a result, I always have at least on bottle in our beverage fridge in the garage. Is it my FAVORITE bottle of bubbles? No, but it’s a staple and I have yet to find someone that doesn’t like it.
It’s bright and fruity with a nice long finish, making it a balanced bottle o delicate bubbles that tickle your lips as you sip.
On another note, did you know I’m a photographer? Yup! I started dabbling in food photography, when I worked for my husbands family produce wholesale business in 2014. People started asking me to take pictures of their families on weekends and from there, it quickly took on a life of its own. I recently stumbled upon this awesome company called Poppy Bee Surfaces. It’s a husband and wife duo that have created these beautiful vinyl surfaces for photography. I played around with them (one of these backgrounds is called Hans, which was my grandfather’s name) and came up with these.
It’s really amazing how the background can TOTALLY change the look and feel of a photo, isn’t it? Which is your favorite!?
